You know when you see a piece and you know that you NEED it in your wardrobe.
The Houndstooth Blazer from Bohemian Traders new Vagabound collection was exactly that piece.
There are so many pieces in the new collection I love, but when I saw this blazer I could see all the different ways I could wear it. You will have seen this yesterday on Nikki in her Model and Me Monday post (there is a lot of love for this jacket already!)
When I see a piece that I love I get very excited and can’t get it out of my head, I went a day before I succumbed and pushed add to cart (I will also say I was a little paranoid that I would miss out on this if I waited too long). Then I had to just be patient and wait for it to arrive, not something I’m good at!
It arrived yesterday and I can say that it is everything I hoped for. It’s the same fit as the white Bohemian Traders blazer that I wear all the time but the material is thicker, beautiful and soft. This will be perfect piece for winter either with just a cami underneath or layered over a crisp white shirt.
When buying a piece like this I calculate the number of wears against the price and for a blazer it always comes out in front. For me they are an investment piece that I can add with existing items already in my wardrobe or buy cheaper pieces to wear with it.
To show how versatile this piece is I’ve styled 3 LOOKS – casual | work | play.
I got hubby up early this morning to go take photos to try and get it done before work and before it got too hot. Unfortunately even though the sun wasn’t blasting the humidity and getting changed in the back of a car (of so glamorous) nearly killed me. So please excuse the hair by the end of it I had a frizzy mess on top of my head.
This is such an great relaxed weekend look and would also be a perfect travel outfit.

For play you can have a little fun and here I have added the Bohemian Traders Floral Dreamer Dress – as the model has worn it online. I’m loving the print clash of the houndstooth and the floral, I think this works so well because the colour palette is similar.
Now before I go any further lets just talk about the update on the always gorgeous Dreamer dress. The fabric on this dress is completely different from previous versions (95% polyester and 5% spandax), its fun, floaty and feminine. It has gorgeous ruffle sleeves with contrast binding and a wide tie belt.
