ASCOT SHIFT DRESS – SURAFINA

For those of us that live in Brisbane we are enjoying a beautiful day off for Ekka (Brisbane Exhibition).

I won’t be using my day off to battle the crowds at the show bag pavillon, ride lines or stand in line for a dagwood dog (the only time in my opinion that they taste amazing is at the Ekka).

While I do love the fun and colour of the Ekka, I’m quite happy that Mister 16 doesn’t want to go as it would be me who had to go on the rides with him and all the spinning and twisting just make me want to be sick, literally.

I will have by the time I post this have woken up without the use of an alarm, had hubby make me breakfast in bed (boy I love that man) and taken some outfit photos for this post.

As I’m not a morning person any day that I don’t have to use the alarm is a good day – a bloody good day!

If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I love to get full use out of items in my wardrobe.

I love an item that can be worn for multiple occasions. The Surafina Ascot Shift Dress $119.95 is one such item it has simple clean lines that enable you to wear it for casual, work and date night with just the change of footwear and accessories.

You may have noticed that Surafina have recently updated there site and their range – if you haven’t you check it out here. Its clean and fresh with a great new range of transeasonal classics. They have kept a few of the favourites – the popular Sportif Dress is still available and now in two new colours; black and navy.

I have worn the dress below for 3 different occasions below – date night, work and casual.

To show how versatile this dress is I have kept the changes very simple only changing shoes and handbags – items that I already had in my wardrobe. The black and white is a perfect foil to wear bold accessories – leopard, print or colour (or add them all at once).

This great little shift dress would be a dress perfect to pack for travelling as it needs very little added to it and only needs a minimal ironing (if any – doesn’t crease very much at all).

DATE NIGHT

What would date night be with a hint of leopard – added a statement leopard heels and bold patterned clutch from Adorne.

WORK

I love black and white with tan ascents so for a work outfit I have just added a pair of tan booties and tan bag.

  • Love a versatile piece – makes it such a good investment!

  • Shift dresses like this gorgeous one are such a big favourite of mine. You look beautiful…the date night look is my favourite as like you, I’m totally obsessed with heels especially if they involve leopard! Love all three looks though xxx

    • I’ve always found shift dresses tricky to wear with boobs but this one has a great fit and the white stripes do break it up. My favourite is also the leopard print heels – always feel better when I’m wearing my heels

  • What a versatile dress! My favourite is the leopard and pom pom bag 🙂 I would love for you to link this post to my weekly fashion blogger link
up if you get a chance.

    • Thanks Katy – I do like the simplicity of it. I’m not a huge florals and frills kinda gal so this works for me
