I was introduced to Sunshine Coast label started by the lovely Rani – Ella & Sunday late last year and instantly fell in love with their clothes made from natural fibres – linen, cotton and silk.

Oh and before I go any further let me just say a huge Congratulations to Rani who has been selected to represent the Sunshine Coast at the Ekka Natural Fibres Fashion Parade this year. This is such an amazing achievement to be walking the runaway with some other fabulous Brisbane labels like Malocchi and Sascha Drake.

Anyway back to their clothes which are beautifully made classic pieces with a contemporary twist, great investment pieces that can be mixed and matched with many existing pieces your wardrobe.

The new range is no exception.

I’m a huge lover of all things denim – you just need to look in my wardrobe to see the truth in this, I could nearly start my own store.

So I was very excited when Rani sent me items from her latest collection and it contained two great denim pieces.

The first piece was the Demi Skirt Denim – this is a fabulous piece that will work perfectly as workwear or styled casually for weekends.

I find denim skirts hard to wear as most I find seem to cling around my stomach and end up giving me a pudge – not a look I want. This skirt is made from medium to heavy denim that doesn’t have stretch and is an a-line style both of these things help to make the skirt skim and not cling.

The midi length is broken up with a front split which allows a bit of leg to be on shown and I find a more flattering look.

I have teamed the skirt with the Neve Shirt Tiled Mosaic it’s a relaxed fit and made from 100% cotton. This shirt can be worn all year round simply by rolling up the sleeves in the warm weather.

Demi Skirt Denim $109.95 – a generous fit I’m wearing a size 10| Neve Shirt Tiled Mosaic $109.95 – wearing a size 12

Now can a girl ever have too many pairs of jeans in their life – well I don’t think so.

What I love about these Sydney Pant Stretch Denim is that they have a more tailored look about them and are the perfect alternative to my usual skinny jean.

The dark wash and tapered leg slightly dressier and more work appropriate.

Fit wise these are medium to high rise which I love as after having 4 children my tummy muscles have never quite recovered and I prefer to not rock a muffin top if I can help it.

These pants are a 7/8 fit so they end up on my 161cm height being ankle length but for these photos I have turned them up one and this had then given me more of the 7/8 look which I prefer.

I finished this off with the Sunday Shirt Blue  this swing shirt is 100% linen with a high low hem and comes in 5 different colours.

Sydney Pant Stretch Denim $119.95 – this are very over sized and have a lot of stretch, I’m in the size 8 and I’m normally 10-12 in pants depending on the stretch | Sunday Shirt Blue $149.95  – I’m wearing the size 14 for room for the boobs.
