I love clothes!
There I said it and I’m sure no one is surprised by this admission.
I have always been obsessed with clothes, shoes, handbags and anything fashion related.
When I first started working I spent my whole pay packet each week on something fashion related (Of course this was after paying board as I was still at home – thankfully this was not a lot so left me quite a bit of disposable income).
I would search the catalogues each week (no such thing as online shopping back then – yes I’m old) and search the shops in my lunch hour planning my next purchase.
Things haven’t changed much in the last thirty years – instead of paper catalogues I now troll through countless online websites and Instagram looking for my next fashion obsession.
I am finding it harder to find something that is different or new that I haven’t seen before.
So imagine my excitement when I received the beautiful Wren Pants from Ella & Sunday.
Now before I talk about the Wren Pants just let me tell you a little bit about Ella & Sunday. It is a local Queensland label that was started by Rani Wilkinson with her passion for classic contempary clothes made from quality fabrics of linen, silk and cotton that would work in any women’s wardrobe.
The clothes are designed for the female figure to flatter and be comfortable to wear all day.
As a busy mum of 4 herself they needed to be versatile enough to take you from school pick up to work to a dinner date. They are classic pieces that will won’t date and being the quality fabrics that they are made from they will out last many other items in your wardrobe.
These pants are unique and not something that I have in my wardrobe already – they are a bit of a cross between a pant and a skirt.
And they are LINEN!
I know linen creases but to me that is part of its charm, I love the crisp feel of it against my skin it has such a luxurious feel about it.
I also love the coolness and I’m telling you with temperatures already in the high 30’s in Brisbane I need all the cool clothes I can get this summer.
They feature an elastic waist band with flat front so no extra bulk to the tummy area (no one wants that) with shirring at the back and did I mention they have POCKETS!
Anything with pockets is a massive plus in my books.
The other huge plus with these is that they are machine washable so no trip to the dry cleaner. I will not buy something that is dry clean only – my time is extremely precious and I don’t have the time or money to waste on dry cleaning.
For me these pants are set to become my new summer favourite – they will work for me from work to play.
I’m wearing the Wren Pants below with flats but for work I would add my favourite heel – I said it before and I’ll say it again I suffer short leg syndrome so any height is always welcomed.
I have added the Iris Shirt in Indigo (also 100% linen – this shirt also comes in white, a white linen shirt is a must in any summer wardrobe check out it out here) to the Wren pants. To me this is such a classic colour combination and I love it.
For a bit of fun I have added a cute pair of Hunt + Kelly Tassels Flats and my trusty Kmart Straw hat from the mens department (for women with BIG heads).
I’m a 161.5 cm tall – but so you can see what the length would be on a taller person I have added the photo of the pants on the model 177cm.
