If you follow me on Instagram or have read my BLOG before you would know that I’m a Brand Rep for the fabulous brand Ruby and Lilli.

Their clothes work in perfectly with my busy lifestyle and are easy wear quality items.

But I have some super exciting NEWS to share – for a while Rachael (Ms. R&L) and I have been working on a collaboration for Ruby and Lilli’s first dress.

It started when I was voicing my frustration to Rachael at not being able to find plain black dress that catered for 3 things

  • Large boobs – the boobs are not going anywhere soon and I wanted a dress that had a flattering neckline but that also had coverage. I have to say that as I get older and I start pre-menopause the boobs are getting bigger. Now for some of you this may be something to look forward to but my cup overflows already so along with the sudden night sweats I also have this to contend with. Not happy Jan!!!
  • Arms – the bingo wings or tuck shop lady arms. I still get them out happily but would also love a dress that would give me a longer sleeve length, one that didn’t cut me off right on the widest part of my arm.
  • Shape – a swing dress that had shape up top but didn’t cling to my bottom half.

Armed with this information Rachael set about designing a dress – I was nervous and very excited to see the finished product.

And let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed!

The extra surprise was that it also came in stripes – be still my beating heart. All my stripe loving sisters rejoice.

The Karen Dress (and it was named after me) is made from medium weight rayon that lets it hang beautifully with no cling.

It has a high low hem – as a mum (and now Nanna) I don’t want to be worrying that I’m flashing my undies whenever I bend down to pick something up. The longer back ensures that no one will be getting an eye full – which makes me very happy.

And I think that Rachael nailed my 3 wants – BOOBS, ARMS & SHAPE. This LBD & a LSD (S – Stripes) that will easily take me whenever I need to go.

So that you can get an idea of the length of this dress I have included a photo with the gorgeous Bev from Iris May Style as she is quite a bit taller than my 161.5 cm (yes the half a cm does make a difference).

Me – Karen Dress in Noir Stripes (I’m wearing the small) | Bev – Karen Dress in Noir (Bev is wearing the medium)

Both of these dress sell for $119.00 but for Black Friday Sales – 24th November they have been reduced to $107.10 AND (it gets better) I also have a discount code to share with you RLLOVESKAREN which will give you an EXTRA 10% off at checkout. This discount code is valid until Sunday 26th November so if you are thinking about adding the KAREN dress to your wardrobe this would definitely be the best time to do it.
