I’m always on the look out for new boutiques… places that feed my obsession for fashion but don’t break the bank balance. I’m sure I’m not the only one, so I thought in the interest of sisterhood (I’m a great enabler for other people to spend money as well as myself), I would share what treasures I find.

I discovered The White Owl Boutique on Instagram  – the place that I discover just about everything nowadays. It’s a Brisbane based e-boutique that stocks everything from the clothing, accessories and beauty to home wares. Really a one stop shop.

Prices range from $99.00 for a pair of jeans to $5.95 for a bowl. Most of their clothes range from $50.00 – $70.00, a price that falls within my budget quite nicely, with free postage for orders over $100.00.

So I was very excited when Tanya from The White Owl Boutique tapped into my love of wrap dress and sent me the gorgeous Sunny Girl Floral Gardens Dress $65.00.

I love wrap dresses. I think that they flatter all women by emphasizing a women’s waist and decolletage and skimming over those areas that we sometimes like to hide.

I also love the bold print of this dress and as it has shape around the waist, it doesn’t overwhelm me. This is still available in size 8 online.

Now I think that Tanya may process mind reading skills… or I’m an open book. OK, I don’t hide what I love, so maybe I’m just very transparent… she contacted me again and this time sent me the gorgeous Sunny Girl Mya Jumpsuit.

This really tapped into a couple of my loves. Firstly its a jumpsuit, secondly its navy colour.

I have a real weakness for jumpsuits and this one is gorgeous with its flowing top and its wide leg pants, the perfect relaxed look. The other thing I love about jumpsuits is that wind is never a problem. When wearing a maxi dress, I’m always on guard for the possible knicker flash when the gust of wind gets under the skirt. Something that I have experienced and, unfortunately, others have witnessed.

The navy and white of this jumpsuit is lovely and fresh. I always think navy is a bit softer to wear than black, but it still processes the same slimming attributes. And I know that I always find that a positive for any outfit.

As the weather cools (not that we are showing any signs of it getting cooler here in Brissie but I keep hoping) throw on a denim jacket and it will be perfect.

  • Wrap dress just adore and emphasise your fabulous figure Karen…come to think of it, so do jumpsuits!
Really you could wear a black sack and still look DDG (nipped in at the waist with a belt of course 😀) xx

    • Haha you are way too kind but if it was a tan leather belt and I had a pair of killer heels the black sack may work 😜

  • You look fab in both! x
