LONG & THE SHORT OF IT – BOHEMIAN TRADERS TAKE A WALK ON THE WILDSIDE

Our first LONG AND SHORT OF IT (LATSOI) post for the year and it’s all about my favourite print LEOPARD!

I may have let out a squeal when I opened my Bohemian Traders (I’m always excited when I receive BT parcels though 😜) and it contained the most beautiful leopard print pieces from the latest Havana Nights collection.

It’s not a secret that I’m slightly obsessed with all things leopard, I have clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery – for me it’s a neutral in my wardrobe, isn’t it for everyone?

It’s the print of the season, if you don’t have any in your wardrobe you need some in there ASAP!

And these Bohemian Traders pieces are the perfect way to start.

This is a LATSOI post with a slight twist. Normally Bev – Iris May Style and I wear the same pieces but this time we are mixing it up. We are both wearing the same Claire Cami in Animal Print and White Blazer BUT I choose to add the Coco Wrap Skirt in Animal Print with mine and Bev the Blazer in Animal Print.

For the last two pieces we added the BT White Blazer and High Waisted Skinny Jean in Dark Wash both of these we already have in our wardrobes. They have been and continue to be fabulous basics that get regular wear.

Note: I have altered my jeans to get what I think it the perfect length on me, I just cut them and didn’t bother hemming I like the slightly rough look.

Now before going getting to the fun stuff here’s just a bit of housekeeping below with all our sizing details:

BEV – Iris May Style

• Height – 5′ 8″ or 172cm
• Shoe size – 9/40
• Clothing size – Bev is in a large for all the pieces, the cami is relaxed style fit with a dipped front.

ME – Style Loving 2

• Height – 5’3″ or 161.5 cm (the 0.5 cm always counts)
• Shoe size – 7/38
• Clothing size – I’m in a large for the skirt and cami, I could have gone with my usual size medium for the skirt but the great thing about wrap skirts is that you can easily tighten or loosen to get the perfect fit. The white blazer is my usual size medium.

Claire Cami in Animal Print

The Claire Cami in Animal Print is the perfect piece to inject a little bit of leopard into your wardrobe, it has a gorgeous draped neckline with shoestring straps. For these photos I added a strapless bra but I would probably wear a black bra for everyday wear just for comfort, strapless bra’s no matter how good are not my favourite to wear.

This looks great on it’s own with just the skinny jeans but as the weather cools (not sure if that is every going to happen in Qld, all I can say is thank goodness for air con) the addition of the white blazer is perfect. It would also be how I wear it to work, the shoestring straps would be just a bit too brief.

Coco Wrap Skirt in Animal Print

Now for our second piece we went opposite, while we both do have a very similar sense of style every now and then we will gravitate to different pieces.

For me I fell in love with Coco Wrap Skirt in Animal Print I could straight away see endless ways to style it and for me this has become a must when I purchase items. I want longevity for my money and I always know I will get multiple wears out of a skirt.

• Worn with the matching cami as a faux dress
• As above with the addition of the White Blazer
• With a slogan tee, denim jacket and kicks for a fun casual look
• White Oversized Deep V Tee, tan belt and tan heels
• Black blouse and killer heels for a night out

And I could just keep going …….

Quite often maxi skirts can be hard for the short gal to wear but this one is an exception.

It has a ruffle hem that floats as you walk, with the cross over front it gives a little peak of feet which I think you need to stop it overwhelming. I’m wearing heels for these photos but this skirt is a great length for me to also be able to wear with flats.

Blazer in Animal Print

For Bev it was the gorgeous Blazer in Animal Print that caught her eye – this is such a statement piece for any wardrobe both worn casually or dressy and will work perfectly with existing pieces.

But I do love it with the matching cami you get a gorgeous double leopard print look.

You could easily swap out the Claire cami and black skinnies for a white tee, boyfriend jeans and kicks, this would give it a great casual look. Perfect for weekends or travel.

And I’ll be honest after seeing how amazing it looks on Bev I may have to ADD TO CART myself 😜.
