As the weather warms up I start to look for clothes that are light and cool – living in Queensland summer is usually long and hot. I think this year is going to be no exception if the current weather is anything to go by.
On Sunday I featured a great Spring Racing Maxi from Big W – Peter Morrissey at only $45.00 it got me thinking about what other maxi’s are out there for under $100.00.
I was surprised by what I found, I didn’t have to look very hard – there are some gorgeous maxi’s out there at prices well under $100.00.
These come in many different styles from brightly patterned to plain, one shoulder to shoe string straps to shirt style.
I listed some of my favourites that are online and instore now. A couple of below dresses are only available to purchase online, I know some people love to be able to try before you buy. But I’m finding that my life is getting so hectic that online shopping is becoming extremely convenient and shock horror my default shopping option. Don’t get me wrong I love the experience of shopping and trying clothes, I’m just time poor and the weekly trip to the shops is now monthly.
Kyla One Shoulder Maxi $59.00 from Blue Sage Clothing, one shoulder dresses and tops are everywhere this season and the print on this one makes me think of sipping cocktails by the pool| Olivia Maxi Dress $69.00 from Frankie and Co, I love the boho themed print and the bead/rope detailing on the straps of this maxi and being 100% cotton this will tick the ‘keep me cool’ requirement.
Sound of Silence Maxi in Coral $59.00 – St Frock, this maxi is stunning I purchased this last summer in a teal/nude pattern and loved the floaty feel of it| Lace Button Through Dress $89.99 – Rockmans, who doesn’t love a white maxi dress for summer add some tan accessories and your ready to go.
Now I have featured two maxi dresses from Katies as I couldn’t just pick one. Printed Maxi Dress $39.95 – this style comes in a couple of different prints and also plain black | Sleeveless Longline Shirt Dress – $69.95 – monochrome is always a favourite of mine.
Today I wore this gorgeous maxi dress from Blue Sages Clothing * gifted – Spicy Sugar Chilled Maxi – $55.00 | I mentioned in Sunday’s post how I sometimes find Maxi dresses too long (Short Girl problems) but this one with its slightly shorter length at the front works perfectly and the adjustable straps are an added bonus.
I’ve added a chain belt (this is an oldie from Sussans) to give my waist some definition and some comfortable silver flats (Witchery – from a couple of seasons ago).
