For anyone that has followed me on Instagram would see I love jumpsuits!
It was a love that didn’t come till late in life about 2 years ago and now it’s a true love affair.
The love is so true I’ve even come to terms with the struggle that is a visit to the toilet – I mean no one is perfect, we all need to compromise in relationships and this is mine.
I have jumpsuits for all season but today I’m talking about the summer jumpsuit.
My criteria for a summer jumpsuit is one that is light material, loose fit and sleeveless.
I found the one that I’m wearing today from Forever 21 for only $32.95 a couple of months ago and have been waiting for the weather to warm up so I could wear it. And the bright pink is such summer colour, it would maybe a bit too much if worn in winter with all its black everyone wears.
Now Forever 21 is a store that is geared towards the younger market with low cut tops and very tight short dresses but the prices do tend to be cheaper. I find that I walk in and there is quite a bit that I could never see myself in but there are pieces that do work. This jumpsuit is the perfect example – the back is slightly open but I have worked around that by wearing a sleeveless trench from Zara. The other issue I find is that there sizing is on the small side so you may have to size up, I can usually fit into a small to medium but here I had to size up to a large to accommodate for the BBT (boobs, butt and thighs).
So don’t discount the stores geared towards the younger buyer just be selective and you can benefit from the cheaper prices.
I find jumpsuits so an easy item to wear you don’t have to worry about what to wear with it, chuck on a pair of shoes and your ready to go. The jumpsuit is the adult version of a child’s onesie and I loved dressing my children in onesies they were so easy and they had press studs so changing of nappies was never a problem. Now I not going to suggest you find a jumpsuit with press studs or a butt flap because they are things that are better left to the young.
I know this won’t be my last jumpsuit purchase for summer I already have my eye on a gorgeous Hale Bob for Rockmans monochrome print jumpsuit that has my name all over it – it would be perfect for Christmas Day.
