It’s Spring and with it comes the Spring Racing Carnival.
I have to admit its one of my favourite times of year for fashion as we start to see all the gorgeous celebrities wearing all their beautiful designer clothes.
Last weekend I had fun seeing all the frocks at the Caulfield Cup and what I did notice was that there was a lot of gorgeous prints on show.
So I thought this dress from Lulu Manna would be the dress to accessorise for the perfect Spring Racing outfit.
What I love about this dress is that you will find accessories already in your wardrobe to wear with it.
I’ve chosen to pick up the red in the print for my shoes and bag as this is my current favourite pop colour. Also these gorgeous red heels from Cinori arrived and I just knew they had to be worn with this dress.
Before I talk more about this dress I have to focus for a moment on these gorgeous Cinori heels made from subtle suede with laser cut out details. The 8.5 cm wide heel these are great comfortable shoes for being on your feet all day and also if your at the races there will be no issues with sinking into the grass.
But if red is not your thing you could go black heel, nude heel or even a bright blue it really depends on what you have in your wardrobe.
Now while I loved seeing all those gorgeous on field fashion what I noticed that a lot of those dresses didn’t exactly look comfortable to wear.
As I get older one of the biggest things for me is wearing clothes that I’m comfortable in – that don’t require me to squeeze into a torture device that we call shape wear or that I have to stick clothes to my body to avoid a nip slip or a panty flash.
This dress from Lulu Manna ticks all the comfort boxes for me
- made from light weight stretch jersey
- with a v neck line that finishes at just the right point as to show a little cleavage but not enough that I have to worry all day about my boobs falling out of my dress
- great length – no panty flash from me
- it also has a great tie feature at the side of the dress that allows you to tighten to create just the right amount of shape for you
- sleeves that are just enough to cover my the tuck shop lady arms
I borrowed this gorgeous Mega Floral Fascinator from Lulu Manna to go with the dress – I don’t usually do headpieces very well but I love this one, very easy to wear and sits perfectly on the side of the head (you an wear this either side depending on want you consider your best side).
But you don’t need to go all out and get a headpiece if you don’t want to the dress is its own statement so you could just add a boater hat or a simple metallic head band.
And the handbag is actually a ipad pouch from Mimco that my daughter purchased on sale but its just too pretty to only be used for storing a ipad.
So are you planning on going to the race track this Spring Racing Season?
