As the season starts to change so does my wardrobe – the winter jackets are pushed to the back and the spring dresses come to the front.

Now I won’t lie in the last 6 months I have become slightly obsessed by Bohemian Traders as obsessions go this is one that I’m embracing whole heartedly.

For spring and summer I love a pretty white dress. To me they encapsulate everything that is spring and summer.

I usually spend the whole of spring searching for the perfect white dress. This year I hit pay dirt when I found this Bohemian Traders shift dress a few weeks ago.

Now I have spent the whole day painting (yuk!) and I can’t tell you have fabulous it felt to put on this dress after scrubbing the paint off nearly my whole body. My husband couldn’t understand why I was covered in paint. What can I say I’m a very very messy painter. Mister 15 helped me paint for the first time today and he has also inherited his mothers messy painting technique.

I had to laugh he was really keen to help me paint but after 10 minutes his comment was “Painting sucks, I don’t understand they always make it look so much fun in the movies.”

I have to give him credit there was a lot of huffing and puffing but he stayed with me to the end.

Anyway back to the dress.

The Sunlace Day Dress  $196.60 is the perfect dress for the coming hot weather.

A shift dress is not always the best shape for me – I have been blessed (or cursed, depends what mood I’m in) with a large chest. Shift dresses can sometimes make me look a bit like a block, not a shape that I aspire to.

So it was with trepidation that I purchased this dress, I went with my heart and not my head and I super glad that I did.

I think the reason that it works for me is that the material is lovely and light and doesn’t cling. It skims my figure giving shape but not too tight that you have to wear shape-wear to feel confident.

This dress is so perfect for so many occasions. It can be dressed up with a pair of heels and it would be perfect for a day at the races or a high tea with the girls. Add a pair of flat sandals and this dress would be perfect for a picnic in the park or a day of shopping.

Today I have kept the accessories simple and let the dress shine.

I’ve added a pair of Lilliannai Romantic Days wedges – unfortunately Lilliannai is closing so down so they are on sale, check out their instagram page here.

With a white dress you can accessorize with a  bold clutch – this hot pink Suede Clutch $99.00 was gifted to me from Sissy Mt Eliza and is perfect addition.

And my final accessory is my watch $139.00 from The Horse – I love the simplicity of this watch and get compliments every time I wear it.

Now one thing I haven’t mentioned about this dress is the back and let me tell you it’s a little bit special. The keyhole back definitely takes this dress up another level and adds a unexpected sexiness.
