I’ve just returned from a trip to Sydney for my mother-in-laws 80th birthday.
We had a great time catching up with family and celebrating Fathers Day with my Father-in-law.
Now even though the trip was to spend time with family, I did manage to slip in a bit of shopping at Westfield Parramatta. YAY!
As it wasn’t a planned shopping trip I had no real agenda of what I was looking for. I sometimes find myself lost when this happens as I haven’t formulated a plan of attack. I can find myself wandering aimlessly and end up going home empty handed or panic buying something I don’t love.
I did have a couple of vouchers to spend so I went to those stores first but nothing caught my eye.
So where to next? I started to wander aimlessly – Oh no, I was determined not to panic.
I decided to regroup and went for a manicure – this was such an indulgence and I loved it!
Walking out of the nail salon with beautifully manicured nails (it was a long overdue visit – 12 months in fact). I was feeling a million dollars – funny how a simple thing like having your nails done can make you feel amazing.
Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Forever New, I hesitated as it is not my normal go to store.
As I walked in I noticed all these beautiful pastel colours – sigh, I had a good feeling about this.
I tried on a few tops and loved them. Before purchasing I thought I would check out their shoes.
Now I really fell in love!
So much goodness on that shoe wall. I started trying on shoe after shoe.
What really impressed me was the price tags they ranged from $29.99 for a pair of Jasmine Jellie flats to $109.99 for a sexy pair of Cooper leopard print stilettos.
Now if you follow me on Instagram you would now that I have quite a major shoe addiction! I struggled to be strong and managed to only walk out of there with 2 new pairs of shoes!!
I was really quite impressed with myself but I shouldn’t get too cocky I have a feeling that I will be back!
The heels that I could not leave on the shelf – Bradie Gilly Block Heel nude/snake $69.99
Nude is such a fantastic colour to add to any shoe collection. It is a great addition to your spring/summer wardrobe, versatile enough to wear with all the beautiful spring colours that are showing up in stores. The added bonus of a nude shoe is that it doesn’t overpower an outfit and also it elongates your leg.
For work I have teamed my Forever New nude heels with a Forever New Pauline Half Placket shirt $69.99 and a last season Country Road skirt. The pastel colours scream Spring and the nude shoes really add to the softness and freshness of the whole look.
These shoes will definitely be getting a lot of use this Spring/Summer.
What shoes are you crushing on for the warm weather ahead?
